Bury Bolton Street Layout
This is the Bury Bolton Street Layout. It is based on Bury Bolton Street Station and Bury Market Street Station complete with extensive goods yard and warehouses. The layout itself was based at one time in the basement of the Bury Art Museum located on Silver Street in Bury.
These pictures show the Bury Bolton Street Layout that a few members from the ELR will be restoring in the near coming future. The layout is currently in store in Bolton. The layout is complete with rolling stock and buildings but these were not brought out at the time of the inspection. The plan for the future is to have it houses within the Bury Transport Museum. The actually layout is split into two ovals with one section going through Bury Bolton Street Station and the other through Bury Market Street Station. The points you see on the layout dont actually move and are soldered in place to give continous running.
All the pictures were taken on the 12th Febuary 2012 by Danny Jones, The ones futher down show the layout in its prime and glory.
