Evening All,

Well last week we had a visit from The Lancashire Telegraph and this week Alan brought down the article to show us all. It has a nice picture of Keith and Alan showing off our nice layout for anyone interested.  I will scan it when i get a spare minute.

Tonight we started pretty early with a few jobs to be completed, with Me, Alex, Alan, Keith and Reece joining the ranks for the night.

We started with a full clean up of the club house which included a good wipe down, hoovering and a full rub down of the tracks on the layout.

Alan was working over on the Cricket Field installing some new bench’s with each bench having a few people sitting on them. There is still a few small jobs to be completed on the Cricket Field but these should be done over the next few weeks.

Keith was finishing off Warehouse Road with a bit of dirt on the cobbles to make them look a bit muddy and realistic which to be fair looks quite good. He also glued using UHU glue the two cranes in the yard. One inbetween the two tracks and the other further up near the ramp.  He was then showing Reece how to select the tracks to send trains round.

Alex was organising a few different rakes of trains with mixed freights, Van trains, Coal trains and passenger trains. These hopefully will look a bit more realistic, we just need a few more loads in one of the trains.

Me and Reece started by cleaning all the tracks as these had not been done since before Christmas and were starting to effect the engines. Once we finished the clean, all the engines were running around the layout like new which Alan said was nice to see trains running again.

Once we had finished, cups of tea and coffee with chocy biscuits were consumed by all. Well deserved for all.

I have also been busy on Stubbins Street with the completion of the reroofing of 1 house and 2 small cottages. 4 Chimney stacks were also refitted.
