Update 30/09/2011
Hello People
Well as promised a few updates with a few surprises aswell……
- Firstly the missing pictures of the Old Toll House on Bridge Street, The runaway brake van and the stumpy chimney on Garden Street have been added to the Now & Then page
- A few updated pictures of Bacup Shed showing how the shed is progressing have now appeared on the Bacup Shed 1950 Layout page
- A picture of the cricket field showing its new turf and creases has been added to the Photos during 2011 Gallery
- We have had some new cards re-done with the new website address and my contact number, These can be seen in the Photos during 2011 Gallery
- Just off Kenyon Street is Stead Street where we had tried using some printed cobbles when we made Kenyon Street but recently these have faded so these have been replaced with Metcalfes Card Cobbles and now looks ace!! These can be seen in the Photo’s during 2011 Gallery
- One of our little crappy old tank engines has been put into retirement to provide carriage heating complete with glowing firebox. This can be seen on the Photo’s during 2011 Gallery
- For our open evening coming up on Thursday Evening 20th October 2011 we decided to make a special feature near the wagon works just North of Ramsbottom with a Breakdown Crane providing a lift to a condemed wagon. A picture of this can be seen in the Photo’s during 2011 Gallery . Thanks to Alex King for setting this up.
- Also for the Open evening I have put together a display board about our club, its history, history on the layout and history of places we have modelled. I think its a nice touch anyway. A picture of this can be seen in the Photo’s during 2011 Gallery
- A recent purchase of mine arrived through the post has come from Branor Systems, I have recieved a Branor Camtruck…..a Ventilated van with a camera inside with a track view of our layout. You can view these videos on our Video Gallery and a picture of the Camtruck can be seen in the Photo’s during 2011 Gallery.
- I have also orderd a Bachmann Ivatt 2-6-0 2MT, Green Godess and 2x Peco Track Cleaners.
- We are also looking into a couple of smoking chimney’s so stay tuned for that one.
- Tonight me and Reece have basically cleaned the whole layout with peco track rubbers, brushed down and hovered all the buildings and roads.
Cheers
Dan
